Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and disclosed in connection with the Stoop mobile application (the “App”) and the related service operated at stoop-alpha.vercel.app (the “Service”).

1. Who We Are

The App and the Service are operated by Justin Kastil, an individual (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

Contact: factorybornapps@gmail.com

2. Information We Collect

Worksheet photographs. The parent or guardian using the App may photograph a homework worksheet and upload that image to the Service. We receive the photograph solely in connection with that request. The App does not offer user accounts. The App does not create child profiles.

On-device text associated with the photograph. The App may send a short text excerpt generated on the device from the uploaded image, together with the photograph, for use in processing the request. The App may also send an on-device age band (K–2, 3–5, or 6–8) with that request so the card can be written for that group. The App does not collect the child’s name and does not create child profiles.

Subscription and payment information. Purchases and auto-renewable subscriptions are processed by Apple. Apple may collect payment information, Apple ID information, and related device or transaction data as described in Apple’s own policies. We do not receive your payment card number.

Technical request data. When the App contacts the Service, our hosting provider may record standard server logs, which can include IP address, date and time, and user-agent information. We do not use this information for advertising.

We do not collect account credentials, registration email addresses, or names of children. The App does not include advertising and does not use third-party advertising or analytics tracking software.

3. How We Use Information

We use the uploaded worksheet photograph, any on-device text sent with it, and the selected age band to generate a parent-facing homework card for the requesting user.

We use subscription status reported by Apple to determine whether a user has paid access to the App.

We do not use uploaded photographs to train our own machine-learning model. We do not use personal information for advertising or for profiling unrelated to providing the Service.

4. Processors and Sharing

We disclose information only to service providers that process it on our behalf in order to operate the Service:

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Each processor handles information under its own terms and privacy policy, to the extent applicable.

5. Retention

The uploaded image is used to fulfill the request in which it was submitted. We do not retain worksheet images as a training set or as a secondary database of children.

Homework-card history created in the App is stored on the user’s device. We do not maintain that history in a user account on our servers.

If you delete the App, information stored on the device is removed with the App. Because we do not operate user accounts, we do not hold a separate copy of on-device history that we can retrieve or transmit to you.

Any standard server logs retained by our hosting provider are subject to that provider’s retention practices.

6. Children

The App is intended for use by parents and guardians. It is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly create accounts for children, and the App does not offer child accounts or child profiles.

If you believe we have collected personal information from a child under 13, please contact us at factorybornapps@gmail.com. We will delete that information.

7. Your Rights

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law. Because we do not operate user accounts and do not retain worksheet images as a secondary database, we may have little or no personal information available to produce or delete beyond what is needed to respond to your request.

You may also delete the App to remove information stored on your device.

Residents of certain jurisdictions may have additional rights under applicable law. To exercise any right, email factorybornapps@gmail.com.

8. Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. We do not receive your payment card number. Subscriptions are governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Apple Standard EULA), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will be posted at this URL and will take effect when posted. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
